Boat Description

Cornish Crabbers Shrimper 21 – 'Carina'
2018 | Dark blue hull | Yanmar diesel | Coppercoated | Road trailer

A 2018 Cornish Crabbers Shrimper 21 in excellent condition with road trailer.
Carina was bought new by her current owners in September 2018 and has been looked after carefully ever since. She has the classic dark blue hull, has been Coppercoated from new, and carries a useful level of equipment for both day sailing and short cruising.
The engine has been serviced annually by Cutler Marine, and two new batteries were fitted in June 2026. She also has a full set of covers. The fabric has lightened somewhat over time. The covers are fully functioning and in good condition.
One of the real strengths of the Shrimper 21 is her shallow draft. With the centreplate raised she draws only 0.57m, increasing to 1.35m with it lowered. That makes her particularly well suited to Chichester Harbour, creeks, shallow anchorages and Solent cruising.
She is currently lying at Emsworth Yacht Harbour.

Broker’s comments
Carina is a particularly attractive Shrimper 21, helped by the fact that she is still relatively young and has had just one owner from new.
The shallow draft is a major part of the appeal. At only 0.57m with the centreplate raised, she can explore creeks, drying harbours and shallow anchorages that are out of reach to many conventional yachts. With the plate lowered to 1.35m, she remains a capable little cruising yacht for Chichester Harbour and the wider Solent.
The dark blue hull and traditional gaff rig give her the appearance buyers expect from a Cornish Crabber, while the Yanmar diesel, Raymarine electronics, tiller pilot, heating, full cockpit enclosure and four-berth interior make her well equipped for weekends away.
The inclusion of a road trailer adds another useful dimension, whether for winter storage or moving her to different cruising grounds.
She is a well-kept, correctly equipped Shrimper 21 with a strong specification and a straightforward ownership history.
