Boat Description

Tireless II – Classic Bosham-Built Fishing Trawler (1968)

A rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece of Bosham’s boatbuilding heritage.

Tireless II is a one-off, custom-built small fishing trawler, originally hand-crafted in 1968 by a respected local foreman at the North Shore Boatyard, Itchenor. Built with a mahogany double-diamond planked hull, she is as characterful as she is robust – a true classic with authentic inshore working boat lines.

In recent years, Tireless II has benefited from a sympathetic renovation, carried out mainly by Tim Gilmore Traditional Shipwrights at Birdham Pool Boatyard. Externally restored and brought back to good condition, she now represents a wonderful blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern reliability. The interior will need finishing.

With her compact size and steady displacement hull, she is ideally suited for cruising in Chichester Harbour, exploring the Solent, or enjoying relaxed passage-making on other inshore waters.

Power comes from a nearly-new Beta 35hp diesel engine (fitted recently, with fewer than 10 hours of use), ensuring dependable performance and economical running.
